Product range is excellent and online purchase was simple.
This was my second purchase from Royal Mint. I live in Australia and expected delivery to take some time, however, I was surprised when my coin arrived sooner than those purchased locally!
Great experience.

Have be buying coins and gifts from Royal Mint for many years. I buy all the childhood characters silver proof coins for birthday and Christmas presents which are loved by the children. I have never had a problem with deliveries and can't understand the moaning by some about this.
I love buying gold and silver bullionfrom the Royal Mint.. the items are always perfectly packaged and arrive in a couple of days.
The Royal Mint are THE Standard when it comes to UK bullion and it gives me massive peace if mind knowing it's bonefide from them.
I've only got a tiny collection but it's growing slowly and I'm enjoying the process xxx
I have made two separate purchases from the royal mint and each purchase was a flawless transaction. I reside in Australia and on each occasion my well packaged parcels arrived in a timely manner. The designs for the coins (Harry Potter) are second to none and were very well received by my two daughters. The colored mint coins and silver proof coins were striking in appearance and condition was what it should be. The Royal Mints' pricing is comparable to the Royal Australian Mint limited edition coins. GST (10% in Australia) is excluded from the price which is a tremendous bonus. Postage is very reasonable as well. I am now looking forward to the next edition of coins from the Harry Potter stable. Thanks to all the Royal Mint staff who make these things happen.

Good quick service.
Good quick service initially I bought a gold coin and had it put into the vault but then I changed my mind and I wanted to see the coin I had bought so I rang them up and they explained how to remove it from the vault and send it to me, very good service

Purchase was easy but delivery poor
Purchase was easy but then little information about delivery. I had to make follow up calls to establish progress and it took 30 minutes on the phone to get the answer. In the event the actual delivery was over a week later.

Customer service limited answers
I was shocked how ineffective the customer service team are. I am presuming that they have limited access to information so at best guess. We don't call customer service for pot luck answers which is what you get. I will swerve this company from now on

Excruciating Service, Overpriced
The Royal Mint offer the worst customer service of any company I have encountered. That is when customer service is available. Usually, when I tried to telephone to resolve an issue I got a pre-recorded message saying to call back later then the call automatically terminates.
Do not fall into the trap of thinking The Royal Mint is a trusted brand and therefore the only secure place to buy precious metals, coins and collectibles. There are plenty of trustworthy online dealers who offer excellent service and are much less expensive. Did I mention The Royal Mint are wildly overpriced? They prey on customers insecurities who incorrectly think it is too risky to shop at other online bullion dealers. Most other online dealers are partnered with, and receive there stock directly from, The Royal Mint. The difference being you will pay considerably less (and I mean considerably less) for the identical product and receive better service.
I received an email from The Royal Mint today. It was a reply to an initial enquiry I made 6 months ago! My main dealer replies within a few hours.
I had a torturous payment/refund experience that took months to resolve and is far too lengthy to journal here.
Do not use The Royal Mint. Use an online dealer with a good reputation that has been established for a while. They are easy to search here on Trustpilot.

I ordered £1500 of gold and silver bullion on the 8th April. Payment went through and order was pending, after a week it was still pending so I called. Because i’d used my wife’s card it apparently caused issues as I’d ordered it on my account, so they said they’d refund her card, got me to make a payment on a card in my name and everything would be ok. After 4 phone calls, empty promises of it being sorted, no one getting back to me, nearly a month after the order I finally got an email saying they’d cancelled the order, and to reorder at today’s prices, the 2 x Sovereigns alone are now £70 more than I paid. The payment should have been rejected if there was an issue with using another named card, I was buying as a retail customer and no other company has this issue in 2025. My account with Royal Mint is now £1500 in arrears, I haven’t been refunded and have no gold. Absolutely ridiculous.
Edit: After nearly a month finally someone got back to me who resolved the issue in 48 hours and the bullion is in the post to me hopefully for tomorrow, I have upgraded to a three star review as it has been sorted and as an added apology I was given a £40 commemorative coin set as a gesture of good will. I have upgraded from 1 to 3 stars because although sorted, it shouldn’t have come to this and taken so long.

Do not buy from abroad
I bought a coin for John Lennon's anniversary from Italy. The coin arrived with a considerable delay BUT above all I had to pay about 10 euros in customs in addition to the shipping cost that I had already paid. This cost was not clearly highlighted by RoyalMint when ordering. So if you are not in the UK the shipping and customs costs are too high.

The coin I selected this time was a quarter the price than a company I sometimes use!
It arrived in pristine condition in it's capsule. Couldn't be happier 😁❤️
I have now decided once I have finished paying off the installments with the other company, I am definitely switching to use the 'RM' all of the time. FACT!

Unexpectedly slow
This was my second purchase and I was very disappointed with the service on this occasion. I experienced unexpected and unnecessary delays with delivery on an in stock item and the online chat was unhelpful and curt. The only positive was the service received when I called directly. I probably will not use for my next purchase.

As a Canadian
As a Canadian, I enjoy collecting British coins. The best way is to buy them from the Royal Mint. Fantastic value and service. Always providing great shipping and packaging. The quality of the products are fabulous and I will definitely be buying more in the future.

Great experience!
I've ordered now the third time a gold bullion coin and everything worked out fine so far. Quality of the coins is as expected.
The delivery to Germany usually went perfectly fine, except the long waiting times for the German Customs once.

purchase of Bullion Coins…
Whilst the purchase of Bullion Coins was efficient, I was confused by why the value of my purchase immediately went down. This is because there is a premium on each coin. Maybe I missed where this was stated but I think it should be more obvious to all buyers.

Bad Courier Service overseas.
I had Ordered silver coin tube 1/4th oZ & 1/10th oZ on 9th April 2025, I have not received them as yet ( 05/05/2025 )and no tracking is available, this was the first time I had a problem with the delivery getting almost a month late and that too for the readily available item. Next then, instead of sending from the Royal Mail courier service which has been delivering very efficiently since the past 18 orders ( 5 months) to India, they sent it via some UPS delivery which is not responding and no tracking is available as yet. A horrendous experience this time. I hope I get my parcel before the month ends.
The collection and quality of The Royal Mint is unmatchable and their products are of the best quality available buut episodes like these really upset.
